Monthly listeners and followers
From the WaveFern Wiki
Monthly listeners are the headline number: they set your Fame levels level, who DMs you, which Record labels want you, and how big your Park Fields Festival crowds are.[1]
Monthly listeners
A month is 30 in-game days. Each month the game picks a random divisor from 2 to 5. Every morning:
base = max(this month's streams, last 30 days of streams) ÷ divisor
if you had streams yesterday:
listeners = max(base, old + yesterday ÷ (divisor × 30) + old × 1% × releases × interest)
otherwise:
listeners = base
So while songs are streaming, monthly listeners never drop from one day to the next. When a new month starts with a bigger divisor, the number can fall.
Followers
Followers grow by 5% of each day's streams, plus extras from Instagrime posts, photo posts (bigger with a better Gphone), Radio and TV, Promotions, Park Fields Festival sets, tour shows and landmark selfies.
Tips
- The monthly number can drop at the start of a new month. Keep releasing and it climbs back.
- Followers come mostly from streams, so they follow the same advice.
